Our 'Next' Vehicle Charging Solution Showcased in Germany

As our range of charging solutions continues to develop, the team for Electric Vehicle Charging and E-Mobilty Services was particularly delighted to see its ‘Next’ charging solution form part of the exhibition stand at IAA Mobility in Munich recently.

Suitable for domestic and commercial use, the Webasto Next Charging station enables the intelligent and efficient charging of electric vehicles with a charging power of up to 22kW. With control managed through an app the solution can integrate with various systems as well as giving charging stations and fleet managers a wide range of digital functions for managing and controlling the charging solution through its ChargeConnect system. This will deliver access to information such as current status of the charging station, charging history and energy consumption.

However, we have to say that perhaps the real highlight on the exhibition stand was an amazing concept car. The vehicle showcased so many elements of the Webasto group and its expertise in product development was demonstrated with the car featuring a dynamic heating system, passenger car battery, innovative roof solution for autonomous driving and a smart charging solution.

It just goes to show that electrification of so many elements of driving are possible in both the domestic and commercial sectors. This is where our E-Mobility vision comes into play and why ‘green and clean’ are the only way to transform vehicular transportation from everything from buses and commercial vehicles, right down to at home charging solutions for your personal car.
